Brave leaders from Alabama took a stand against the Data (Mining) Collection bill being pushed by Republican Terri Collins, and Democrat Bobby Singleton and Senate Pro Tem Republican Del Marsh
Deborah Garrett Love of Alabama Eagle Forum opened the Press Conference and warned us about the Data Collection Bill that is supposed to help education. But Alabama State Education Board Members Betty Peters and Stephanie Bell both stood up and said our mantra should be to do no harm and the bill should find its place in the trash can. Great group of legislators which included Ed Henry, Jim Zeigler, Mike Holmes, Bob Fincher, Rusty Glover came to support the stand against the data mining bill. Jo Godfrey also came to remind us of the bottom line with such a bill.

This is a classic case of deceptive exceptions becoming the real rule. Information such as the above makes parents really angry at the push for Data Collection Bills. As in the House Education Committee meeting, parents voices were not heard. It's happening in Alabama and in many states throughout the country. The only way to stop it is for parents to pray and to persist for truth to be heard. Hope they will...

The Problem with Data Collection Bill That All Legislators Don't Know (Notes For Legislators Who Want To Do No Harm To Children...)
The State of Alabama like many states are being pushed to have a Data Collection Bill. Here are some key points for legislators to consider just in case they did not know:
1. FERPA bill that this particular bill wants to use as a safeguard has been gutted by the Obama Admin and will not protect the children's data.

For parents who would like to read the bills and contact legislators:
There's a fight going on all over the country and it's happening not just in the federal government but in our statehouses. The bottom line is the fate of a nation and it rests as in the beginning of this nation about the fate of the child.
America was started with one of the most noblest of reasons by many who came here not for themselves but for their posterity. The men and women on the Mayflower are famous because they sacrificed so much and got little in the world's vision but then heavenward was their aim. And the God they prayed to, the King of Heaven, heard their plea on bent knees and gave them a nation unequaled in power and stature.
...But as Ben Franklin remarked in the days of tyranny --have we forgotten our powerful friend? I hope we have not. God said:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6
Please study and decide to do no harm to God's children and your children...I am sure the parents reading this too would be most grateful..God bless...here's the speech of Ben Franklin that is worth remembering. Let's defend the children and our families from tyranny again.
